Ecstasy is generally mixed with other substance and purity levels regularly change as do the price.

Ecstasy pills are usually swallowed – with people regularly taking 3-4 pills at a time.

MDMA powder can be ‘dabbed’ onto the gums or snorted, it can also be injected or swallowed.

Can last for 2-4 hours depending on the strength.

Regardless of what it looks like and what it is called, you can’t be sure what’s in a pill or a powder and you can’t predict how you’ll react.

E tablets are known to be mixed with slow released drug PPMA. This means that some users may think the drug isn’t working and take more. The danger is, when those Es kick in there will be stronger effects (and risks!) to deal with.

• some Ecstasy tablets are being laced with acid/LSD, this can cause hallucinations.
